It seems like people want to discount older blue tractors but in our experience they're very reliable tractors! Great video Jason! Gotta love the 195!

Your shots from behind the spreader reminded me of an old joke an equipment salesman once told to my dad -- I was just a kid of about 9 or 10 at the time and thought it was hilarious but it was probably an old joke even then some 50 years ago -- he said, "we stand behind every piece of equipment we sell, except the manure spreaders" . Thanks for the memories.

We bought a Ford 8000 in 1980, was our big tractor for a while till the international 4386 showed up. When we sold out in 2006 my dad didn't have the heart to sell his old 8000. He kept it, now he uses it in his garden! Now its semi retired, living in the barn most of the time. Great video and Merry Christmas!!

Jason, really enjoyed this video and thank you for taking the time to make it. To me, there is something very evocative about the sight, and especially the smell (which I love - yes I'm wierd), of well rotted manure being spread. It takes me straight back to when my dad was alive and slurry was not even a thing. All of our cattle were bedded on straw and the main heap was straight behind our milking parlor so any waste passed by the milkers was scraped into a trailer and it was my job to take it and tip it each day, and push the heap up every 3 or 4 days, come rain, snow or sun, birthdays or christmas day. I loved it then and I miss it now. I still believe to this day that proper manure (instead of slurry) is better for the fields as you have the extra fiber content from the half rotted straw. Manure, spreading, fresh cut grass, combining and damp earth from (proper mouldboard) ploughing are the scents of farming to me.

On the family farm, we currently use a 1976 Ford 8600 for mowing, teddind, raking and spreading manure. A very reliable machine, a lot of power and a pleasure to drive! Thanks for all of these videos Jason!

Very clean tractor. Makes you want to find older tractors and forget all these new DPF junk!

I don't know about the bigger fords, but I've used 40 to 65 hp models and they were genuinely good tractors.

There is no more picture perfect farm country than eastern Iowa.

Those TW-35 are really good tractors and same goes with the 195 manure spreaders. Works as a mechanic at our local Ford Tractor and New Holland dealership back from the mid 80s.
