In this video I making a swatch of 6 different colors. We will also mix them and see what comes out of it.

If you are not feeling inspired, but do want to paint, here is one of the ideas what you can do and also learn a lot in the process.

To make the swatch it I used:
Gerstaecker cold-pressed watercolor paper 300gsm or 140lb, size 24 x 32 cm or 9.5 x 12.5 in

Sennelier watercolors: Yellow Lake, Carmine, Prussian Blue, Yellow Ochre, Venetian Red, Ivory Black

***Brushes:
Raphael Softaqua No 10

Thank you. I love swatching videos and color chart videos. I also swatch my colors and do mixes on the opposite page. However, I need a video on creating a chart that goes on the diagonal. I get so, so mixed up!!

I love colour mixing charts. I usually start just with choosing my 3 primaries or 6 split primaries which gives me a good base to use for colour matching. I often do colour studies, choosing one primary and mixing varying levels of another colour(s). I'm always amazed what colours you can achieve.
