It seems like a reflective translation to me. I agree it's supplemental for sure. So I'll use it alongside the KJV which is my main. I used to use NKJV when i now started because the language was overwhelming for me as a new believer. But now that I have the basics down I finally comfortable with the KJV. Thanks for the video sir. The phrase "as above so below" is often said by new agers and at the end of wican spells (confirmed by an ex wican ) this is what E.P put in the message instead of on earth as it is in heaven. I don't see the need to change the words that Jesus himself used.
Also if all scripture is spirit breathed then we must ask the Holy Spirit to interpret it for us as well as reading it over and over again to study and understand it, as you would if you were learning a different language. Why is the bible any different, it will take a life time to understand as we grow in our walk with God.

Avery good job on Analyze this Message Bible . Not the ones who say to burn it. I don’t consider a running interpretation . But a lot of times it’s my sole source . Peterson belived in Grace … or I’ll use an amplified Bible . 🎄

In the Message Peterson teaches that all roads lead to God (Psalm 25:10) and he teaches that no sin can keep us from God (Romans 8:38).
This goes beyond commentary. It is false teaching. It's a twisting of scripture.

I am starting year 6 of McCheyne's with an ESV Study. Peterson's commentary gauls me. It is heresy. I have a dear friend--sister in Christ-- who has suffered much from it. We are also Pres.

The MESSAGE is not a bible. It's E.P's interpretation and paraphrase of the bible.

The verse saying bringing your true self is just herasy because. Its not our true self. Our true self is as wretched as bad. Only Christ be reflected through us. Not our better version.
