Introducing the new Tony Royster Jr Signature Stick: STR2!

At age 13, Tony Royster Jr. became the youngest drummer ever to become a Vic Firth signature artist. His first Signature Series Stick the STR came out when he was just 15 years old! Now nearly 20 years later, Tony has grown physically and musically and with these changes his stick preference has needed to evolve as well.

The new STR2 stick is designed to match the needs and playing style of Tony today. With a diameter of .585”, this stick has the feel of a slimmed-down American Classic® 5B. The slightly longer taper offers incredible rebound which is great for fast, flowing, effortless chops.

Yessss!!! This seems like the perfecttt size and taper for me. My favorite sticks ever to date are the new Matt garstka signature sticks. They Are perfect for me but I def wanna try these. I always thought that his first sig sticks were way too thin for me and didn’t get enough power for the music I play but they were super fast but didn’t like the tip. Glad he chose this new tip over the old sig tips. Love the long taper and I’m on the same boat 5b’s are just a tad too thick for me personally even though they feel great cause you can really lay into the toms and snare but lost some speed and agility but 5a’s are little too thin and don’t get the power I want. You can get used to any stick after you play it for awhile but the Matt garstka sticks are the first sticks I tried right away and felt like an extension of my arm and hand. Can’t wait to try these out and hopefully they do the same for me.

Vic Firth sticks are the only sticks I have ever bought. actually you don't got to buy them often because they last forever it seems like. I'll definitely check these out though man.
