I am Japanese and I am watching this video from Tokyo.
The team I recommend to you is Omiya Ardija from the J2 League.
The club is a founding member of the J2 League, which was established in 1999 and was formerly the NTT Kanto Football Club, a corporate team of the Japanese Telegraph and Telephone Corporation. (
The team's results have declined sharply in the last two seasons, as president Hidehiko Sano, who took over in 2021, cut essential staff and players in the name of 'financial rectification'.
I know it is hard to believe, but what he has done in the name of 'fiscal rectification' is "the beheading of the academy director, who is producing results" and "releasing players who were injured and wanted to stay even if they had to take a pay cut, saying they could not wait until they were fully healed, while acquiring players who have been injured and unable to play for six months". The job of bringing the team up to J1 and turning them into a competitive team with an eye on Asia, while dealing with such a reckless front office staff, must be one of the most challenging in FM?

I've been to Sendai a couple of times, and it's one of my favourite cites, so the Sendai based club might be an interesting challenge. And for Star Wars fan the city has a connection to Darth Vader (the look of the local here Date Masamune was an inspiration for his look).Other options I'm looking at are a Morioka based club, a Nara based one or maybe Hiroshima.
