Love the last one as a disabled person! My family has so far been very accommodating as far as physical mobility issues & how pain/ADHD can mean I don't always arrive on time. However, since COVID "ended", they haven't been washing hands before meals & even during COVID (& since) they rarely inform me that their kids are sick, instead I find out mid play with them when my 7yr old neice starts coughing or when her 3yr old brother comes to join us after a nap that I had arrived during, snotty nosed & stuffed up! I have tried "using my influence" on them by frequently washing my own hands & I try to explain that I need distance during play, but usually only get 3 ft max, which has to be frequently enforced.

As someone who has chronic pain that at a lower dose of meds was causing so much stress it led to a heart attack, my cortisol flooded immune system is not very strong. The last time I picked up a bug from my nephew was during COVID (which I have at least avoided & my family does at least regularly test for when getting any kind of upper respiratory virus) during my niece's bday party. At the time, my nephew was an infant & I never was near him, nor interacted with him, not being a fan of babies. I only found out he was quite sick after I was there a couple hours, had been touching toys, door handles, snacks on the table, & he finally came out from a nap. I brought up that no one told me he was sick, for them to mention that the whole damn family had been sick a few weeks ago, that he seemed to be better, but then got sick again more than a week ago "shouldn't be contagious anymore". "Besides, we have all been tested for COVID & it's not that. It was barely noticeable as far as colds go." I immediately started washing my hands, & refused to touch anything without washing them right after, reassuring myself that I don't touch him anyway & they said it wasn't a bad cold. Oh, what a fool I was.

I ended up sick for more than a month, lost my voice, heavy coughing which has always given me migraines, found out pharmacies don't even carry codeine cough syrup anymore & which is the only thing I can take due to metabolism issues, not to mention my chronic knees, back, neck, & head pain was turned up to 20 from all the inflammatory response!

It was an absolute nightmare & then was followed by wildfire smoke that made itself a "bowl" around my area, making me chose between asthma attacks or chronic pain flares, as I also learned my pain meds don't work/work much less/inflammation gets much worse when I take albuterol! The smoke did nothing good for my migraines & I usually chose breathing issues over the unbearable pain that was already extremely undertreated at that time! Chronic pain sucks balls, but it doesn't give anyone the excuse to misname someone or throw a temper tantrum (which my mother also did/does) & go sulk in your bedroom, enforcing the silent treatment, to boot!

"Lyssy" should start calling others by her own nicknames of choice, to see how they like it. Eg, call The Mother by a variant of her first name and not call her "Mom", etc. If The Toby is against her, start calling him "Tubby", instead, to see how he likes that nickname. They don't listen when constantly being corrected, but needling them in return often works wonders.
