In the comedy series Servant of the People, modest and humble high school history teacher Vasiliy Holoborodko is caught on camera raging over the miserable situation in his country. When one of his students posts the video on YouTube it becomes a viral sensation. Everybody loves Vasiliy’s outrage.
Soon, with a Presidential election looming, everyday people crowdfund the fees needed to register Vasiliy as a candidate. And to everyone’s surprise, he wins! Vasiliy is now the new President of Ukraine!

The classroom scene was a big hoot. So different from my history classroom in the US back in the 70's. There were too many elaborate trappings. The students were much better behaved, and also better dressed. Also everybody was White. If he would have been my teacher, I would not have learned much history, as I would spend my time looking a his handsome face. He would have had to chase the girls with a stick. Been waiting to see this since last year!
