Convention of States (Article 5 of the Constitution) is the solution. Things like term limits for congress & federal bureaucrats in 3 letter agencies.

It’s a great video but how do we fix it? All I can do is vote and the sheep never listen to reason when I try to explain things. So long as they are told to hate one vs the other side they remain content in their blissful ignorance. Not being pessimistic, I truly would like to see a way where average people can help. Especially when donating money or a lot of time we don’t have isn’t much of an option because we have families to support after all this inflation. and our voices seem completely heard or drowned out.

We the people need to have petitions going around to end corruption. Also they should not have the right to vote to themselves a raise. They work for us!! The state they represent, their citizens should decide that. What job allows its employees vote themselves a raise?

Congress wasn't a paid job when the CONSTITUTION was drawn up. They had normal jobs and only met when an issue came up.

It's really unfortunate, that every time you hear of someone giving up a seat in government, they're usually the ones we need to stay in and fight. If everyone of good conscious, is going to leave, we're definitely screwed. Jill Stein 2024!

I don't understand (I'm not American). Why do you need to raise money to get into a committee? Who does that money go to? Who decides on who is in a committee? Shouldn't that be congress? And if so, why are they not the ones to change it?

We have a representative government and the representatives do what is in their best interests. It is a flawed system for which the only answer is a homogeneous society where everyone's governmental needs are similar. Diversity is not our strength, so this problem will never be fixed.
