How To Use A Zip Tie-With A Bonus Zip Tie Trick

In this video, I show you how to use a zip tie. I also show you a bonus zip tie trick towards the end of the video in which I explain how to remove a zip tie using a thin object. This actually allows you to reuse zip ties and remove them without having to cut them off or break them. Zip ties are honestly some of the most useful things in the world, and I really wanted to do a tutorial on how to use them properly, and show you my simple trick that I use to remove them easily so that I can reuse them!

Thank you so much for this. I'm at work and had no clue how to use zipties prior to this video and this helped me immediately use them to unlock our internal push doors. Thank you

This actually CONFUSED me! I just watched another zip tie tutorial (yeah, I know, but I just wanted to know if I should bend the pointed end with ridge-side-up into the top of the tiny "cup" at the other end, or smooth-side-up into the deeper part of the tiny cup - like maybe that could make a difference if the tie would actually lock into place). In that 15 sec. video, it shows the pointed end being bent smooth-side-up and inserted into the deeper end of the tiny cup. And, yes, this guy's voice "might" be one reason his baby is agitated. LOTS of tension in his narrative - difficult to listen to for even 4:28!

are zipties good for tying a hollow square made of a lot of small parts together. I'm thinking of using them for a project lol

Thank you for this video. It really helped!

I need to anchor two of them and then use 3 or 4 to hold something down. Like a strap. A string of zip ties with two loops on the end would be much better than a bungee cord for something almost permanent. A bungee cord can keep a pedal set held down on a sim racing rig with 25 pounds of force.

The rugged side goes on the inside; 4.28 minutes to not tell what I wanted to know!

Helpful video, but cringe. Most people just want a professional video that cuts right to the chase, not a comedy special (no offense).

Isn't a bonus something you get for free when you buy something and not something you get with something you get for free in the first place? Useless trivia: I misspelled somehting four times in that sentence.
