Wow, that display case is impressive! Mattel must be making tons of money by actually paying attention to collectors demands. So much product from Matchbox and Hot Wheels, so many series, and also things like this. In the past, you would have to get one custom made or build yourself. I used to like wood display cases, until I learned that the wood or whatever chemicals it contains, reacts with the diecast metal, and can cause "Zinc Rot" / "Zinc Pest" where the metal breaks down suddenly. I'm all in on plastic after learning of this. I may get this, but Mattel wil sell it for ludicrous money just by sticking "Hot Wheels" on it.

I personally love the flat black 787B! Since that's a show exclusive, I think I will repaint and wheel swap a HWs Basic version to match.

The cost to value for the HWs display isn't there for me. I also don't appreciate the space inefficient sliding doors. Just my opinion though. To each their own.
