Funny how Taylor Sheridan says " he doesn't want to use the same ppl from one of his shows to the next" is bull§hit. The chic that's screwing Jamie on Yellowstone is the same chic that plays Claire on 1883. The livestock sheriff short guy with the mustache plays the cook "Cookie" on 1883, and a few other people I can't think of at the moment. Plus, Sheridan himself plays on Yellowstone and 1883, he was Charlie. I'm not hating I'm just stating facts, he lies.

I think Josh could play the same John Dutton he plays now as well as convincingly playing the present one. Sure some would be pissed at first. But Josh is talented and I believe he could pull it off. I say all this having met Kevin in the past as he was close friends with a dear friend of mine. I know enough about Kevin to know he has very personal reasons not to choose to continue in a role I know he loved. It was inevitable that he and Sheridan would clash because they are both so creative. Kevin has serious shit going on in his life right now. He is trying to prioritize what is really important. Y’all can guess what that might be based on the media. All I can tell you is Kevin is and has always been family first. So whatever is going on has more to do with his personal life than his professional. And guess what? He doesn’t give a shit what anyone else thinks and never has.

Watching Yellowstone was my first introduction to Josh Lucas. Frankly, I was more interested in his portrayal of Dutton's character than Costner's (Costner being only 2-dimensional for my taste).
Then I became curious about him and watched "Secret: Dare to Dream" and have become fixated on that movie: both the message and watching his acting, his diction, how he moves, etc.
I have turned into a huge Josh Lucas fan, and can't wait for what he does next!

Absolutely --- Why hasn't Taylor Sheridan thought of having Josh Lucas play an older John Dutton?? Makeup works wonders and Josh would be wonderful in the part. Then we all could continue to enjoy Yellowstone. In case anyone hasn't noticed, people don't watch to see Kevin Costner, we all watch to see everyone else and what they will do next. That is why Yellowstone is so popular. So move on Kevin, we have Josh!!!!
