in July '15 Thule promised to update the mounting instructions... well, I bought my set earlier this year and in my manuals are still these nice but not very significant drafts.
I also had the same troubles with 1 or 2 hole situation.
I wanted the certainty of everything's mounted correctly BEFORE testing it on the motorway...
This video is so simple but very helpful.

Shame on you Thule for still producing such dangerous manuals. If one has mounted the wingbar incorrectly it could be a massive impact on the life of any of us!!

Thanks for pointing this out.
We're updating our fitting instructions and kits as we speak to avoid this misunderstanding.

In general, we prefer the single bolt mounting, whenever possible. This is not always possible though: some kits and some older 753-feet do not have the central hole (yet). In that case the 2 hole should be used for mounting.

In my 4068 KIT there are 8 screws of which it is totally unclear whether they should be applied at all, or not.
In this video they are not applied, the manual doesn't mention them at all (that manual is unclear in every respect anyway).
Does anyone have a clue about the meaning of these 8 screws? Can they be ignored?
I'd rather be sure about this before hitting the highway with that roof rack for Skandinavia. I'd be rather thankful for any hint.

How do you remove the Thule foot pack from the Thule bar on this model? I can’t find this highly secretive and confidential set of instructions anywhere. Either that or the info is purposely being hidden

The manual is very unclear on whether to use 1 or 2 bolts to fasten the rapid kit to the wingbar. This video seems to explain it quite well, using only 1 bolt. Perhaps something to modify in the manual? The manual also only uses pictures; a litle explanation would not hurt.
