Attorney Mike Reck on child sexual abuse and the New York Child Victims Act (subs)

-Child sexual abuse survivors in New York now have an opportunity to take legal action thanks to the New York Child Victims Act. The bill was signed into law on February 14, 2019 and extends the civil statute of limitations for child sexual abuse to age 55. The legislation also opens a one-year, retroactive window for child sexual abuse survivors to come forward and take action, no matter how long ago the sexual abuse occurred.
