I used to think this guy doesn't paddle false info. But here is some data i collected which kind of refutes all his claims in this video:
- Taj Mahal records a footfall of 7 to 8 million per year and not just 1 million as he claims in video. Statue of Unity recorded a footfall of 5 million (50 lakh) in 2023.
- Considering only ticket fee is not correct. Overall revenue from associated spending is right approach. Saying that skills development centers / universities would be a better use of money is not really a good argument. We can afford to have those centers additionally and there is no guarantee that they will contribute to economy - it depends on various other factors.
- If we consider a spend of mere Rs 1000 per head, then we generated 500 crore in 2023 alone. So to recover the total cost of Rs. 2700 crore would take less than 5 years (due to growth).
