EP 18. Budae jjigae is literally one of my favorite korean dishes to make. It’s the perfect dish when you have a large group to feed, but sometimes I’m craving budae jjigae and it’s just me. This is perfect for those days!

My rice cooker is a 2 cups uncooked / 4 cups cooked size.

Ingredients
2 cups water
A lot of minced garlic
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp gochujang (mine is a mild gochujang btw)
1/2 tsp gochugaru
1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1/2 shin ramen packet
1/4 c kimchi, chopped
Green onions
Firm tofu
Spam
Sausages
Mushrooms

1. Combine green onion ends, water, minced garlic, sugar, gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, 1/2 shin ramen seasoning packet. Set the noodles aside for now. Bring to a boil
2. Once boiling, add kimchi, 1/2 ramen noodles, tofu, spam, sausages, and mushrooms
3. Cook till noodles are desired level of doneness.
4. Save the remaining 1/2 of ramen for the next time you crave budae jjigae for one!

This might seem like a silly question, but do you use a cookie cutter to get the cute shapes of SPAM?
