Sadly aouthors changed the anime in this part. I mean Devola and Popola arrived to the tower before opening the door in the game but in anime they did it after opening. They gave a time for 9S to unlock the door by distracting and struggling the machines in the game. In the anime they just came and fought the machimes then they died. Their death is meaningless in the anime

Ngl its kinda suck they made automata anime before replicant- i made mistake of playing automata first when replicant remake was avaliable. Those scenes will hit way harder if i did play it correctly
