Govt working towards eliminating TB by 2025: Dr Rahul Gupta on World Tuberculosis Day
World Tuberculosis Day is observed every year on 24 March to build public awareness about the global epidemic of Tuberculosis and efforts to eliminate the disease. Prof & HOD, Chest Diseases Hospital, GMC, Jammu, Dr Rahul Gupta speaking to Take One News correspondent Rajinder Kitchloo said that this year's theme of World Tuberculosis day is 'Yes! We can end TB!'. Gupta said Government is working towards the goal of eliminating TB by 2025. He said that TB is preventable and curable and told that free medicines are given to the patients in the district TB centers. He said the proper and timely treatment of TB can save precious lives.
