New Tales from the Borderlands Review

Gearbox's New Tales from the Borderlands successfully recaptures the charm and humor of Telltale's original adventure-game spinoff of the Borderlands first-person shooter series, but its attempts to stretch out the gameplay and the story don't fare as well. Reviewed on PC by Ryan McCaffrey.

Characters inspired by Twitter is never the way to go. Love the graphics though never would have thought cel shaded could look this clean till Borderlands 3 and it's still surprising me

I'm a huge Borderlands fan. I've played thousands of hours between 1, 2 and 3 and of course played the first Tales. Nothing about this game seems appealing to me. The characters are terrible and unrelatable, and I've heard most of the jokes are unfunny. Literally all they had to do was continue the story from the first game and people would've loved it! Gearbox should be ashamed about what they are doing to such a beloved franchise.

It's 'okay', compared to the first game it feels way off. They've used the same formula but somehow can't recreate the magic of the first game.

Literally all that they had to do was use the same characters. The one thing we were asking for was a true sequel to TFTBL. We were definitely not asking for this.

You know your game is utter crap (and that's saying something when you have the beloved Borderlands franchise behind you) when all you can afford to buy is a 7 from IGN because purchasing a rating of 8 out of 10 would have cost Gearbox more money than this steaming pile of jabber poop was going to make in sales.
