Electrons possess an intrinsic property called spin, which is analogous to a tiny magnet. When two electrons in an orbital have opposite spins, they generate a small magnetic attraction that slightly counteracts their electrostatic repulsion.

If two electrons in an orbital had the same spin, they would repel each other more strongly.Opposite spins create a stabilizing effect, allowing them to share the same orbital.
