Lamley Live: Opening new Hot Wheels & prepping for the Collection Purge!

I’m back, and ready to take on my big summer project: completely reorganizing my collection. I’m gonna do it all here with you, but before we start, I have a few models I need to open and get into the collection. Let’s do that today.

if you put the hot wheels in the boxes like a pair of shoes, 2 always fit in each compartment. Store in the 69 position and you have twice as much storage space...

I agree on leaving out the unlicence. Too many peeps rag on anything unlicenced and right away get chosen as worst of the year. It's their prerogative, but I think it's unfair. I'd say yes to the Supra, but remember that decision next you get an already existing casting with a little modification added. Say a new Volkswagen Beetle casting with proper headlights and taillights. You gotta be fair.

very cool collection. In the end I'll keep the first editions/New Models of all castings I like. maybe a special release like a Chrome one, Anniversary art cars, and holiday versions, and the rest I'll just keep in the boxes/cases. I get tired of the color changers because they tend to freeze up in some weird shade through the years. also keep 5 pack exclusives because many times the designs are so much cooler than the mainline.

Is all your collection loose, in jamers or on display?
Have you seen other collectors videos, like Mustang Hunter or Florida Man or Derek Smith? or others (like Old Man Diecast and Hot Wheels Historian Mike Zarnock?)
When visiting other areas of the country, have you noticed that some areas of the country (like the south and the west)seem to get more diecast in general than others (like the Northeast, Eastern MA in particular)??
