Kinda what I expected. Guy Ritchie has settled into a nice niche of "turn your head off for a while and laugh through action", and I'm 100% ok with that.

Everyone talking about Guy Ritchie and Henry Cavill, but here I am, just really happy seeing Alan Ritchson getting more roles and recognition!

I really hope this movie has a Christopher Lee character. A REAL LIFE member of this covert unit.
More than this movie, I REALLY want to see a Christopher Lee biopic. Truly one of the greatest badasses of modern history

We need American blockbusters to bring back the big budget, WELL SHOT, r-rated action film. John Wick can't sustain it alone.

Here's hoping Alan Ritchson gets cast in a Wolfenstein movie at some point

This sounds like it might be a throwback to the classic 60s and 70s man-on-a- mission commando movies (Dirty Dozen, Guns of Navarone, Where Eagles Dare etc .) Those are some of my favorite films that I can rewatch endlessly and I miss that style of more lighthearted adventure war flick.

Will definitely be going to see this.

2:47 Was that a sneaky Uwe Boll reference Stuckmann? Til Schweiger in a FAR CRY from his role… I see you.

The real SOE had quite a star studded 'cast' - people involved beyond Fleming included Christopher Lee, Maskelyne the Magician, Douglas Fairbanks jr, Jon Pertwee, and Peter Ustinov. There were a lot of people from the West End from costumes to make-up to management whose names would mean almost nothing now, who were heavily involved in something not wildly different to the Q Division in the Bond movies.

Grandfather who fought in World War II in the US Army would have definitely approved.

I love that you mention the character development is a little thin but that the actors are so good at what they do that it doesn't matter. You just made me realize something that I wish I had put into my review. The "character" in this film was actually the mission or maybe the team as a whole, and not a single person (I know that sounds a little weird, but we're talking about Guy Ritche, right?). The mission was the character and all of the people, the plan, the action, etc were the visual embodiment of its development as the central "character" in the story. It's kind of a weird way of looking at this film, but I think this is why the movie works. Great breakdown of the film, Chris.

Guy Richie’s movies are always a fun ride. There’s never a lot of melodramatic characterization except in one major character. One focus, one emotional note and clear concise message, if any. Which is fine by me.
I am really looking forward to seeing it.❤

The title sounds like a Guy Ritchie parody film that would be showing in another film

Why does the UK have to wait until it goes to Amazon prime?
