Hi, just found your channel and watched the unboxing and then this review, thanks for taking the time to review the game, glad you liked it!
The upcoming expansion, Wildscale Swamps, will indeed add lots of content for the game, including more cards for the heroes, loot, events, inn... and more ;)

This looks great. The combat system for this looks like it'll be pretty fun while also staying simple and the exploration aspect reminds me a bit of 4 Against Darkness for some reason. What really sold me on it was the fact that it looks kid friendly and it also seems like it would be easy to homebrew new content for. (Like additional Lairs or adding in rpg/ story elements.) I have a copy coming in the mail thanks to your videos on it Daniel!

Thank you Daniel for this review. I find this game (the artwork and especially the Lair Card system) very appealing!

It looks really neat. Great art, nice meeples, easy to get to the table, a bit of tactical decisions... I agree it would need more cards in the future to expand the game's longevity but what a great surprise!

Late comment here but: this looks really good for that family-weight adventure game! Great coverage as always, and I'm into the "small box" reviews, cause too big and too expensive just isnt approachable. Totally agree, the modular expansions on this could be easy and do so much. the lair cards!

Mannnn this game is adorable! Let's see.. it's cheap, too; $35 on Amazon as of Nov 21, 2023. But it has gorgeous art, a relatively simple luck-based loop that offers chances to mitigate bad luck, and it doesn't look like it'd take too long to set up or play, and it even reminds me of Chronicles of Avel, one of my favorite games ever. Yeah, I'm probably going to buy this before the year is out.

The only question: Maximum Apocalypse is also on sale. I'm going to buy both because I'm mental, but which to buy first is the real question... thank you, Daniel. My wallet hates you, but eh, too bad. Love your channel and videos and I'll try to catch them as they come out. Take it easy, man!

(PS: I know you haven't done MA, it's just a game I heard about that appears to be right up my street, as it's similar to Sentinels of the Multiverse while also having a lot of randomization in it, as well as apocalyptic themes, scavenging, and guns.)
