Gynavapi Masjid Dispute: The Varanasi district court will further hear on July 4 arguments on the maintainability of a plea by five Hindu women seeking permission for daily worship of the Shringar Gauri Sthal within the Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi complex. The Muslim side persistently presented their argument and registered their point-to-point objections to the Hindu side’s plea in court today. Five Hindu women have sought round-the-year access to offer prayers at the Shringar Gauri Sthal in the Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi complex. The Muslim side has argued that the plea is not maintainable as the Places of Worship Act, 1991 prohibits the conversion of a place of worship and orders the maintenance of the religious character of any place of worship as it existed on August 15, 1947.

A lower court in the city had ordered a video survey of the complex after the plea was filed by the women. The Hindu side, after the survey, claimed that a 'Shivling' was found at the wazukhana of the mosque.

काशी विश्वनाथ धाम का असली शिवलिंग ( स्वयंभू ज्योर्तिलिंग या श्री विश्ववेश्वर ज्योर्तिलिंग) कहाँ पर है..?
1- आहिल्या बाई द्वारा स्थापित मन्दिर में..
2 - मस्जिद के वाजू खाने में ( जिसे मुस्लिम पक्ष फव्वारा कह रहा है और हिन्दु पक्ष शिवलिंग कह रहा हैं.. और कुछ सनातन पुजारीओ का कहना है कि अगर वाजू खाने के नीचे का तहख़ाना खोला जाय तो तो वह शिवलिंग भूमि से 40 से 100 फीट तक ऊँचा हैं..
3- कुछ सनातन धर्म पक्ष के लोगो का यह भी कहना है कि मस्जिद के मुख्य गुम्बद के नीचे ही असली स्वयंभू ज्योर्तिलिंग, श्री विश्ववेश्वर ज्योर्तिलिंग कहीं पर हैं ...
और अगर आहिल्या बाई द्वारा स्थापित मन्दिर में ही असली शिवलिंग हैं। मन्दिर पक्ष कोर्ट केस जीतने के बाद मस्जिद को हटा कर नया मन्दिर बनवायेगा ..तो क्या आहिल्या बाई द्वारा स्थापित मन्दिर के शिवलिंग को वहाँ से हटा कर नये मंदिर ( जो मस्जिद को हटा कर बना हैं) में स्थापित करेगा.. (क्या पहले से स्थापित शिवलिंग को हटा कर नये स्थापना करना उचित होगा...)
