Hi from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
I stayed in Rostov over 20 years as a friend was doing some volunteer work with the Salvation Army. We had an amazing time and met some of the friendliest people I have ever encountered. It’s lovely that so much has been upgraded as well in the years since my visit. I am sure we went to some massive statue on the city outskirts? It’s was incredible

My hometown, or how we say “little motherland” :)
I live in the UK since the age of 12, but I retain very warm and fond memories of Rostov. As Russian Brit, who recently returned from her first motherland trip of the last 10 years, the city pleasantly surprised me. Hope you enjoyed the Don capital and thanks for a surprising visit to such an underrated part of Russia, that shows your truly open-minded and culturally appreciative mindset!

My god this place is so dear to me. I was born and raised in Russia Rostov-on-Don. My grandfather worked at an old red brick factory that actually was made of red bricks like the one in your video. That’s where we lived to in the town where the brick factory was. Back in 1994 my parents decided to move our family to USA Florida so that we could be with the rest of our family. We haven’t gone back yet to visit. I know I’m ashamed to admit that we haven’t been able to find a way to go back for a visit even though it’s already been 30 whole years since we left Rostov on Don. It’s not that we don’t want to, it’s because we’re always dealing with some problem as a family. Also because there are always babies born, or pets that are too attached for us to leave them with someone while we go to Russia. There are other reasons, but we have always wanted to go and still do. One day definitely we will gather ourselves together and go. Thank you for this video

It's so incredibly to look at my hometown where I live in a video through the eyes of foreigners... That feeling when I see the places in your video and thinking of something like"on that bench I hanged out with my sister, and on this street I walked recently" 😳 love my city so much, thank you guys for the video!

Your guess was right, it’s almost always windy in Rostov, but during winter and early spring the wind is the strongest. Hope you enjoyed the city.

You`ve took one of the slowest trains, but alright, it was cheap enough. Most of trains get to Rostov in 15-18 hours. Rostov is lovely, especially in spring and autumn.
