Just did this! Still helpfu 8 months later, only thing missing is now you have to set a run_id parameter, but that's easy enough to figure out after your explanations you provided!

Great content! i have a quick question based on this:
Currently i created a new assistant in the playground and also activate the "file search" module + added a file called instruction file.
Then i have build everything using your amazing guide, but i am getting a message like "please upload a file, we couldn't find the instruction file" or "we couldn't reach the instruction file" .
If i am removing the attached file and copy all the text to the instruction field it's working great. but in general i do want to use the file options. Do you know why i am getting this message? do i need to do any action in terms of API if i already uplaoded the file to the playground ?
