About 4,000 jobs, traineeships on offer in Singapore's financial services sector till mid-2021

Nearly 4,000 jobs and traineeships are on offer in Singapore's financial services sector till mid-2021. The central bank is rolling out new measures to get more Singaporeans involved. Financial services firms in the Republic employ 170,000 workers. The sector makes up nearly 5% of Singapore's workforce, but accounts for a tenth of its GDP. At a webinar, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) chief Ravi Menon called it the most "productive workforce", adding that it continued to create nearly 2000 jobs through the COVID-19 pandemic -- all of which went to locals.
