Intro to Bellydance dancers made it to the stage at the L.A. Bellydance Academy's Open House Celebration.
Classically referred to as Raqs Sharqi, danse oriental, or Raks Baladi the belly dance is a fusion of Arabic folk styles, mixing with otherworldly influences such as Russian ballet and Latin dances which developed roots in early Egyptian cinema and the cabarets in 1920's Egypt.
