There are a lot of people complaining about the sonic.exe sprites, but they were for the classic (the one from 2011), not the Xenophane (sorry if I said it wrong), but if we are going to compare the same ones from Xenophane, he really is more childlike. The first time I saw the video I thought the pose up was strange, but I thought it was cool.

People say the sprites are bad.
and while they aren't as good as some would expect it to be, that doesn't mean they are bad sprites by any means!
I think people just have such high expectations of sprites that we forgot most of the mods are passion projects. Someone still put time into making the sprite. No one is offering constructive criticism, I only see people bashing the sprites. Besides, the sprites look good to me.

The only sprite that I feel got shafted was the laugh animation. That got shafted hard. Could've been a bit better by maybe having him lean forward with the laugh like in original too slow's laughing animation, but the sprites themselves looked good. Everyone chattin shit for no reason. Lower your expectations for sprites. You shouldn't expect top notch sprites for every single thing that gets released in this community.

Sprites could definitely use a style overhaul (Sonic.EXE up pose looks straight out of a kid cartoon and bf looks weird), but other than that everything else is good, I would 100% keep the movements of the ‘I Am God’ segment (preferably in the overhauled style) and the background is true to the original Sonic.EXE fangame

I believe that "Rerun" did the right thing. Do sprites look boring? Perhaps. But if this is Sonic 2012, and not Xenophane, then sprites are quite suitable. 2012 definitely didn't have all these arms, tentacles, interference
