Great gear. I am looking for my first real multi night backpack and I know I want an internal frame. Any recommendations? Going up to my local REI to get fitted but their are so many options and brands

I have posted it before and I will post it again - tissue tablets instead of baby wipes and TP.

Baby wipes feature chemicals that are not only bad for the environment, but also bad for humans. I forget the medical condition that can arise, but it is no joke.

TP takes up a lot of room and is vulnerable to being ruined in rain or a fall in a river crossing.

Tissue tablets are light, compact, biodegradeable, reusable, rugged, convenient and do not contain harmful chemicals.

You will be hard-pressed to find them in stores. You can buy them online, in bulk. My wife bought me 500. That's because she thinks I am full of...anyway, that count will last a long time. You only need two or three for your poop shoot business.

One more suggestion (and this is borderline shiilling, because one of my close friends invented this product and is the prez' of the company), try a Hemplights hemp wick dispenser for Bic or Clipper lighters. (Do not get the version for the Bic Mini.) I use one and I will never leave it at home when camping or backpacking.

Hemplights make lighting campfires and the various types of stoves much easier to light. No more burned thumbs. Your lighter will last longer. See a demo the video with tacky, annoying music at www.Hemplights.com.

The product was invented for stoners and cigar-smokers, but IMO is is ideal for backpackers and campers. Though I got these into a few stores for him, I do not make an income from this (I work in commercial solar, traveling all over, so I passed out samples in my travels) if you buy them online, like at Amazon, or at the Hemplights website. Trust me, you love this thing. And it only weighs 7-to-8 grams.
