I never even knew it was wildly hated by critics and fans when I first watched it; I just wanted to watch it out of curiosity.
After long discovering about its bad rep, I fully took it all in and look back at the flaws I never even gave thought of.

Regardless, it's a guilty pleasure movie you can watch for the plot.
Its highlights I enjoyed after watching it again on Blu-ray were the "Fun, Fun, Fun" musical number, the piñata scene, the car chase, the Mother of All Messes, the D.I.R.T. scene at the end, and the many times the Cat kept getting Conrad's name wrong; what kinda makes it more funny is that Conrad didn't have a name in the original book.

I saw this in theaters as a kid call it a guilty pleasure, in no way is it a good movie but it has that same quality the Grinch had but its cat in the hat what else could they have done with it?

Oh my dear lord. I can't even hate this movie as much as everybody else, but, my god, it is horrible.
The writing is absolutely terrible and disgusting but, it's also so bad that it's hilarious. Also I get a bit of nostalgia from it because I did like it when I was younger.
