Zero Tolerance 0990 20CV KVT Liner Lock Flipper Overview

Based on the award-winning 0999, the 0990 simplifies the design for a hard-working EDC with plenty of visual appeal. It is reliably strong thanks to its steel construction while retaining an exposed “floating bridge” near the top of the handle like the original. Carbon fiber scales with a front steel overlay are comfortable and robust with cutout windows in the blade and near the pivot for weight reduction. “Zero Tolerance” is subtly debossed into the back spacer for a clean look while the 20CV blade riding on KVT ball bearings delivers optimal performance with speed. The 0990 offers the best way to bring the legend of the 0999 to your pocket.

It’s not titanium for a reason. To pull of that design they had to use steel for structural rigidity. Making it titanium would have zero added benefit but whatever makes it feel better sitting in a safe

As an enthusiast i would be all over this model if ZT had chosen titanium as the frame and bridge. I love ZT And I love Jim from ZT I think he’s a brilliant knife designer, but this would have been a home run and more true to the original had it been constructed with titanium. I understand the thought process of keeping it Edc friendly and thin for carry but I would gladly take an ounce or two more for more premium materials. As it is it’s a pass for me.

Or if you’re going to make it out of steel make the entire blade and frame out of 20 cv kind of like CRK did their Impinda backspacer our is s35vn.

I like the looks, but it feels too much form over function to me. If it was spydieflickable maybe it would make more sense, but too much on this "tool" has no purpose.
