I am new to your channel and I love your enthusiasm. I am only on the second video and I love your attitude of a little bit at a time. It is like eating an elephant. . . One bite at a time. 😆 lol

Belated Happy New Year, Jules. I watch your channel sporadically, which is silly as I enjoy you so much when I do watch! Amazing projects as always. Your discipline and diligence on your large monochromatic pieces are inspiring and always push on to put more effort in my large, full-coverage WIPs. Also - I confess that I too still use masking tape to seal the edges of my fabric. Cross-stitching 'police" be damned. Stay safe and well in these continuing challenging times.

Empire State Workers is looking great! Can't wait to watch your secret project grow!
When I first started stitching, I would tape the edges of my aida...and that's what my mom did, too! Only reason I don't anymore is because me and most tapes don't agree anymore due to my allergies...boo! So, if I can get it serged, terrific. If not, I leave them as is on smaller/faster pieces, otherwise I fold over the edges and use some of my weird dyelot thread to baste the edges down. Congrats on all of your great progress! Good luck with getting more stuff done on the site, your projects, and prep work! And hope you get some good snow soon (and please send some my way!) Hope you have a great stitchy week!

I use tape most of the time. I have a sewing machine and serger but tape is much quicker. If I am using aida I just skip taping and use pinking shears if a section starts to fray. I can't wait to see your secret pattern. Right now it looks like an animal ear. ( probably way off. lol)

Quick question…what did you use for your gridding on your secret squirrel project? I did start using the mark b gone pen you mentioned amd a little nervous because it will take me at least a year or more to get this big Artecy project done. I wonder if I need to wash off every 3 months or so it doesn’t get permanently on there just because of the time. Thanks for your great videos!! ❤️. Keri
