Great idea man. I bought the transom mount version initially, but after thinking about it, I may not always want to use the motor. They don’t sell the skeg separately on Amazon, so I cancelled the initial and reordered the skeg version with the transom mount separately on Amazon. Now you showed me how to attach the skeg to the transom mount when the motor isn’t in use! Thanks!

That is great idea! I ordered mine with the skeg, but it came with the transom mount. Like a lot of other people here, I can't find the skeg sold by itself. This gives me an idea on how I may be able to work around it! Thank you so much!

I did just that now I have to go get a longer bolt and some wingnuts 🤙🏼

Bro just take the trolling motor mount off and screw that on you did that for no reason. I just got this kayak and it came with the skeg on it 🤦‍♀️

Where did you get the skeg part? Mine just came with the transom mount piece and i cant seem to find anywhere to buy one.
