Get increased dynamic range in your images by merging your bracketed RAW files directly within Capture One. The result is a linear DNG that behaves like a RAW file for further editing.

Yesss. If there's one piece of software I trust to get HDR right, it's Capture One.

Thank you for getting finally this possibility to merge HDR! I'm shooting real estate since many years. Every (interior) shoot I delivered was edited first by C1 and then the final edition in PS to manage the blown out windows with my bracketed shots. But now.... since December most of my interior shots are edited much faster and already finished in C1!!! I am happy with the results! Less work and a faster workflow!

An incredible addition and finally got the chance to test it properly. The best HDR merge currently available IMO, very natural and pleasing results. As a long-time C1 user I'm very grateful to have this functionality within C1 now and now need to go external for HDR and panorama functionality, it will make workflow so much easier for some things!

Are there any plans to add batch functionality to do multiple series? I like to do HDR panoramas and being able to do all the frames at once would be a big time-saver.

Will you be adding any anti-ghosting option to the HDR merge?

I noticed that out of the two birds in the underexposed and one bird in the middle photo, the outcome contains one of the birds of the underexposed photo. Is there a way to control/mask details we wish to maintain? Or is it just fully automatic based on exposure levels?

Hi David. Good stuff, I really like the results. I would like to know if there's any settings available or a way to deal with ghosting. Thank you for the video, and have a good day.

Thank you :-) I'm really looking forward to using this. Just downloading the update. I've been waiting for this feature since Capture One 3 :-D It's great that it merges to DNG. Excellent design. My final request would have to be exporting from Capture One in EXR format. This would make Capture One even more versatile and useful and attractive to a wider audience, including the movie and video industry.

Your HDR feature produces superb results. However, no provision seems to have been made for ghosting?

Will you add support for extended dynamic range (EDR) preview/editing and output formats?

Hi, I have version 20 of C1. Is this included in that version too ?

Is it possible to use this feature to make double-exposures (merging two+ DIFFERENT images – not for the dynamic range but for the creative mix of imagery)?

Can you merge a flash shot in addition to bracketed photos?

Nice tutorial but i get always artifacts in the clouds, in lightroom I don't get them... is there a way to prevent this in C1 ?

A step in the right direction no doubt, but I'm looking forward to future refinements. I've been shooting and comparing various scenes, and comparing the HDR version with a "pushed" single exposure. While I'm impressed with the improved dynamic range and noise performance, I'm disappointed that I've been finding halo artefacts on specular highlights, as well as a return of green/purple fringing, that is otherwise corrected in the original raw files. Would also love to see improvements in batch HDR processing.
