Показать описание
Hey guys!
In this video I talk about 5 things you need to know before you introduce your dog to new people or to new children/kids. Dogs are very sensitive animals and can sense if someone is nervous, scared or anxious. Tip #1 is to not use any food for positive reinforcement training because dogs can become food aggressive with the new person simply over the treats Tip #2 Always have your dog on a leash so that you are in control of the animal. Tip #3 Talk in a high pitch voice with positive words so that you dog knows this is a happy meeting and gets good vibes from your tone of voice. Tip #4 Start out a good distance apart and let the dog see the new person they are about to meet and get some excitement out before meeting them. This way you are in control again and can talk to your dog and say "good boy" or "okay calm" or "be nice" before they meet the new person. Tip #5 Tell the New person from a distance to move slowly and to also talk in a hi voice and even use the dogs name like "Hey Blue" so the dog knows this person is not a threat and is nice and here for a good time.
I hope these tips helped you introduce your dog to a new person!
