Rita Wilson, Alex Blue - 'Angel From Montgomery'

Five years ago this week, we lost the incomparable John Prine. I’ve loved his songwriting for as long as I can remember—his wit, his heart, his truth. “Angel From Montgomery” is one of my favorite songs he ever wrote. It was such an honor to record it with Alex Blue.

John’s music continues to inspire so many of us. We miss him deeply, but today I’m thinking about the joy and beauty he gave the world. What a gift he was—and still is.

His beloved Fiona Whelan Prine, a dear friend and constant source of inspiration, carries his legacy with so much grace and strength.
