Introduction to Sustainable Trade and Responsible Business

Sustainability in the supply chain is increasingly becoming a priority for businesses trading internationally, both as a matter of corporate social responsibility and for compliance with new rules and standards.

On Wednesday 24 May, the Institute of Export & International Trade (IOE&IT) collaborated with the International Trade Centre’s (ITC) Trade for Sustainable Development (T4SD) programme to host a free two-hour webinar which provided an introduction to sustainable trade and responsible business.

The webinar consisted of two panels: one on what is meant by sustainable and responsible business; the other on voluntary sustainability initiatives and mandatory regulatory requirements.

The panel includes expert trade and sustainability experts from the ITC, IOE&IT, WWF and academia.
