Wanted to get this exact BMW Z4 model ! Things will break eventually and hope there is a reliable mechanics that could fix problems like the one you had !

Been through all this, i spliced in new wires for all the wires and no problems since.

I personally think the glue on the black wrapping tape makes the wire insulation shrink. There doesn't appear to be any strain on the wires.

Hey, thanks for your videos! When you replaced the wires, did you use 20 gauge wire? I’m having the same broken wire problems. Your replacement wires look like a slightly larger gauge but I’m probably wrong.
