How the Fourier Transform Works, Lecture 1 (Part 2) | Fourier And Napoleon

Before delving into the maths of the Fourier Transform, we continue with the second of three 5 minute videos on Fourier himself. As well as his interest in mathematics, Fourier was very politically active. In this lecture, we look at Fourier's relationship with one of the most famous figures of French history: Napoleon.

This is the second in this series of videos that take a new and visual look at the maths behind the magic of how the Fourier Transform works.

I appreciate the amount of work and detail you put into all your videos. The overall quality is very good, and the back story is very interesting. I'm pretty hard of hearing. The music playing (especially at that volume) while you're talking makes it very hard for me to hear what you're saying. Is it possible you could hold off on it until the credits roll? Thanks much for the video. Thumbs up (to crush a troll) and I'm subscribed.

Napoleon a known occultist and Freemason.
Nothing to brag about being connected with him.
