*Fun Fact* : this 1998 SNES version of Frogger pays homage to the 1998 episode of Seinfeld “The Frogger”, where George gets the highscore on the arcade game.

Although the score is much lower, the developers added George’s name to the top of the leaderboard. 🐸

Similar to how Wario's Woods is the only NES game with an ESRB rating in its initial release since it is the last official NES game, Frogger is the only Super NES game with an ESRB rating of E in its initial release, since the ESRB had the "K-A" (Kids To Adults) rating for similar titles previously but changed the rating to "E" in 1998 (even NBA Live 98 still has the "K-A" rating).
Also, for a game console known to have a great audio chip, it's kind of strange that the Super NES's last game, Frogger, has no music at all.

Be it a failure like 3D0 or a titan like like SNES, all consoles have one thing in common: they always go out quietly.

I picked up Frogger for my SNES collection just because I found out it was the last SNES. Kind of a must have just for that reason alone. Game is alright!

Oh hey I had this Frogger as a kid. Had no idea it was the last SNES game! I actually got a SNES after the N64 had been out for a while because I wanted to be able to play Super Mario World, Final Fantasy III (which is actually 6), etc.

Man...I really think the 90s had some of the best video games, Sega, SNES, just had some really good games, many of which are still fun to play today 👍

I would love to see you cover the later Super Famicom releases at one point, because there is surprisingly a lot to cover, since the last SFC game released came out in the year 2000, the same year the PS2 released, and in fact came out AFTER the PS2 released.

The year I graj'd from high school... never knew these existed till much later! 6th grade to graduation, SNES!
1990 - Super Famicom in Japan
1991-1998 - SNES in America and Europe
1999 - an appearance in Toy Story 2 SNES = THE defining system of the 90s!

I'm originally from Tacoma (Fort Lewis) and was a massive Supersonics fan. I'm still heartbroken I lost my favorite sports team 😭

It seems like support for the SNES died a lot faster once the N64 was out then support for the NES after the SNES arrived.
