"If I'm African just say that?" Why do people feel to generalise African countries as if they're not their own culture. People in one country don't even see themselves as the same but you generalise the entire continent?

I wonder what my Ancestry would say about he because fun fact: I actually have a 5th wisdom tooth! (As well as a couple more extra baby teeth)

On 23andMe, you can change the Confidence Level and the estimates will change. That is, 23andMe also gives ranges, but they are presented differently. Ethnicity estimates are just estimates and is not an exact science.
You can download your raw DNA data file from either 23andMe or AncestryDNA and upload it for free to FTDNA, MyHeritage, and GEDmatch. Each of these have different databases and different DNA analysis tools, such as chromosome browsers or auto-clustering. There is a nominal fee to unlock the tools.
The ethnicity estimates were originally intended to tell where your ancestors lived 500 to 1000 years ago, before inter-continental travel. Since there are no living people that old, each of the companies create reference populations based on living users who claim that all four grandparents were born in a specific location. The DNA companies update their reference populations from time to time as they get more people in their databases.
Each of the DNA companies create geographic areas for the ethnicities that they identify. Country borders are political, not ethnic. Nationalities are not the same as ethnicities.
I enjoyed your video. Good presentation. Thanks for sharing.

What are your Genetic Communities? They should be under your DNA results... The communities are your family migration stories. It shows you where your family was living in America for the past 100-300 years ago

You shouldn’t compare 23andme to Ancestrydna. The reason why because Ancestrydna have a larger database and they have better comparison than 23andme. You should do your family tree now. Every company have their own ethnically estimate algorithm too.

I love the ranges of area ethnicity, also I'm related to Ervin and Murphy. Amazing

Ancestry tells you the range because it’s just an estimate it can’t tell you exactly what percentage but they’ll be really accurate now 23andme on the other hand😬 now they not gon tell your range cause they wanna seem more accurate than ancestry tho ancestry will always be more accurate(because ancestry has 20million people in their database compared to 23andmes 12million) so yea but I can tell you rn 23andme can’t tell exact percentages even tho they don’t want you to think so but they elude to it.

With ancestry you can build your whole family tree with documentation and records attached to your family name. My polish side only goes back 3 generations because Poland’s record keeping was lacking. My German side has centuries of church records.

Currently waiting on mine in order to see if I have been a father for the past 41 years and didn't know it. Child was conceived and born in another country when I was in the military. I wasn't told. He wanted to know about a condition he is predisposed to that I am afflicted with. My sister is afflicted with it and our dad and grandmother, dad's mom, were also afflicted.

With 23&Me you also get a range, the results that they show are on a 50% Confidence. If you click on [View Report] under "DNA Painting", you will be able to change the confidence level, you will see the big differences when you set it to 90%

But yes, both offer different things, 23&Me offer you info that Ancestry doesn't (haplogroups, and most of the traits are free with the "least expensive" kit), the ability to compare DNA results with more than one person, how they display the info better, etc... But I prefer Ancestry for other reasons (the tree, their truelines, the ability to get info/data/paper trail, mostly at no extra cost -some documents do require a paying membership-), but I do not like that they want extra money for the traits, and they don't give you the option for advance DNA comparison.

You should do African ancestry. They have a more in depth African ancestry reading. Right now they have a sale.
