The best way to write objectives is in the SMART format. They must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results-oriented, and Time-Bound. A good starting point is to brainstorm who, what, when, where, how, and why:

Who should be doing it?
When should it be done by?
Where should it be done?
How will it be done?
Why are you doing it?

Once you have completed this for each objective, it is important that you consider your total set of objectives to ensure that it is reasonable to deliver them all successfully over the defined time period.

Why do teachers need to write SMART objectives?

SMART objectives are somewhat a 'compass' in teaching and learning process from the beginning up to the end; through those objectives everything is on the right place—well planned and have clear path to trace on.Teachers are oriented and directed how to align their instruction like creating class activities that foster learners' knowledge and skills. It helps educators focus and specify what intended to teach and assess.
Imagine being in a vast ocean without any guide or have blurry vision—the world is too hard to conquer; the ocean is too broad to create own ways, just like on teachers daily life in academic institutions without knowing daily purpose, without preparing/fixing appropriate and clear objectives—learners are in vague future, learners are at risks. But if a teacher is well-prepared, determined and directed, everything flows smoothly and deminish confusion.
Learning objectives are like the soul of the lesson plans, lessons exist because we need something (topic) to impart upon learners so those objectives should be fixed and mould wisely.
The whole lesson is being directed where to revolve upon as objectives are SMARTly structured.
