If the original sentence was for example “isn’t Adam a lawyer?” Would the indirect question be something like “Can you tell me whether Adam is a lawyer or not?” I feel like it won’t change much of the meaning but it’s so confusing to me.
I’ve asked multiple teachers over the years but none of them could get a sentence for sure.

Thank you so much for such an informative video. Could you please help me understand if this question can still be considered a yes-no question:

"Is the view pretty?"

Possible answers:
"Yes"
"No"
"Slight"

What if someone answers "50% pretty"?

What do we call these in English?
