A little known fact is that in Victorian England having the ladies over to the front parlour for an evening of whist was the equivalent of hosting twilight imperium with eight sworn enemies in a room with poor lighting and is where we get the internet meme, “no soup at the table, Nigel!”

This was a great how-to-play video. Thank you very much for the entertaining and informative info! One correction: (this comes from Dan Halagan’s(designer of obsession) own playthrough video), You only have to lose reputation from guests who make you lose it if you have it to lose. If, For example, you are at the lowest possible reputation (rep1/level1) you can still play a guest who loses you reputation: you just cant go any lower! In fact, Dan suggests it is the BEST time to play such a guest as you minimize or even bypass that penalty! Thanks again for the effort you put into this vid.

This is such a great game! I love playing it solo as it is one of the easiest AI I’ve played with in a game. Even though I’ve already played it I had to watch your video knowing it would bring me loads of entertainment

Get out of my head!
I had the same problem in getting past the theme to learn how to play this game, but once I played it I had to admit that it was a great game.
It took me three tries to make it through a video to learn to play, but it was well worth the efforts.
If only you had made this video earlier it would have saved me so much time...

Let's grab that D20 and play P&P! Ha, did not foresee myself thinking this game would be on my list.

It seems to be very crunchy! Engine building (with upgrades!), Deck builder (?), Turn based objectives, worker placement, and resource management? But it's not a space/fantasy theme?

I will be getting this, if only to add an option to play with my wife. The most complex game she is ok with playing is 7 Wonders Duel. This might break her brain, but she is a MASSIVE Jane Austin fan so, wish me luck. The fact it has a solid solo mode just means it has a solid shot at staying in my collection even if my wife doesn't like it.

Finish on a call-to-action? Ok! Hey Grouchy, please do a video of Loat Ruins of Arnak solo. I have it and played it awhile ago solo, had lots of fun, and I haven't touched it since because one needs a video of yours to set it up 😅

Less than two minutes in and laughed twice. I don’t laugh much. Subscribed.
