How to Make Puerto Rican Sofrito

Sofrito is a cooking base essential to a lot of Puerto Rican recipes. In this video, I show how I make and store my sofrito!

Recipe:
1 head of garlic
15-20 leaves of culantro
1 bunch of cilantro
3 green bell peppers
1 red bell pepper
2 large white onions

Remove the seeds and tops/bottoms from the peppers and onions. Roughly chop all the veggies and herbs and add them to a blender or food processor. Blend or pulse until smooth or desired consistency. You can also hand chop all of the ingredients if you wish. Store in the fridge for 2 weeks and in the freezer for up to 4 months.
