great idea to change them together along with wobbly idler pulleys!

The first one to fail is the tensioner that digs itself a pit and stops tensioning the belt properly that then wears out prematurely by slipping under any load.

This is another perfect German engineered failure that help kill the alternator, the undercharged battery, steering pump pressure regulator, high pressure hose ...

This is like the failed "PCV valve" that blows up purposely undersized oil seals formulated to soften with oil acids 🙄
