Terminus the Finality is one of the most unique Aeons found in the lore of Star Rail. THEY are the only Aeon to move backwards in time, going against the flow of everyone else in the universe. In this video, I go over what we know about Terminus and THEIR factions, as well as speculate on what could come next for THEM.

Honestly im just waiting for Terminus's design

- you are actually somewhat correct about "Finality" is not really the complete end of the universe. While i don't know the reason english translation team for picking "Finality" as the translation but in chinese, hsr "Finality" is written different from hi3 "Finality", hi3 "Finality" actually mean "the end" and hsr "Finality" is actually closer to "Desolation" or "Complete Annihilation/Erased". i notice this coz my native language, which is very close to chinese, use 2 different translation in hsr and hi3 while the english all use the same translate "Finality", which prompt me to check the chinese word of both then lead to my discover.

- Finality is definitely gonna be important as all previous honkai games(ggz, hi3) have theme around fighting finality as it major ending(atleast for first big part of their main story) so i wouldn't be surprise if hsr will follow that tradition as well

- This is somewhat of lore info from GGZ but one of the possible or the most desire outcome from a war between god(in honkaiverse, aeon = god) is the birth of a Supreme God. A Supreme God (Sovereign of Gods) is the next level or next evolution of a god in term of existence and power, if a god embody an authority(=path) then a Supreme God embody every authority(=path) at the same time, representing everything about that universe. There r 2 possible scenario that happen: 1. The Supreme God's Authority is board enough to contain every other god authorities or 2. The supreme god consume all other god authority to become one(it usually this one that happen more commonly).

=> Terminus might be the aeon that is born from the result of the war between aeon in the future, which would explain how all the other path can be destroy by Terminus as Terminus likely born by consuming other path or born from remain of other path. But i don't think Terminus is Supreme God yet, i think Terminus might have fail to ascend to Supreme God, basically a failed Supreme God or Pseudo Supreme God, which would explain why Finality don't cover all the path and Terminus still extremely strong when compare to other aeon.

- To explain why having a Supreme God born is a desire outcome is becoz in ggz, a war among gods usually happen when a universe nearing it end or nearing it reset(it usually mean that universe is starting to stagnate). If a Supreme God is born then that Supreme God can help that universe continue to develop and skip the reset, while if there no Supreme God that universe either going to reset or self destruction in the future due to stagnation.

I have a pretty niche theory :

Terminus was Trailblazer
Trailblazer is going to be Terminus

Ik this sounds crazy but it’s not too far fetched :

Both Aeons obviously follow a « Train » motive
The Trailblazer with the Astral Express (Train)
Terminus name meaning « Finality » and in context « Final Stop »
Terminus names also is from a Roman God of Landmarks(I.e. Marking the Birth and Death of Aeons )

So Terminus represents the final destination and Akivili represents the journey to there

We know that Akivili traveled with the Astral Express but then mysteriously disappeared. Terminus travels back in time to the beginning of the universe

My guess is that Akivili realizes the true meaning of Trailblaze and Finality and turned into Terminus who now travels back in time

I love how Elegy didn't mentioned HooH the Equilbrium and Fuli the Remembrance getting offed by Terminus's Finality, at this point we all know the concept of Equilbrium and the Remembrance might be the main driving forces together with Finality of the entire HSRverse.

Wait Elegy also didn't mentioned about Nous the Erudition and Mythus the Enigmata, now that is interesting.

a lore before sleep nice also when we see what happen in hi3 and hsr connection in next hi3 main story i think we will get more possiblity about terminus

Judging by it all Elio has great plans for the main character cause going as far as placing a Stellaron-person into the Nameless seems to be an insane move, really. My thoughts on Terminus are not yet formed, we got not too much info to speculate about but I at least can be sure they’ll be an ally for us rather than an enemy and having such an ally in an Aeon war will be interesting

Terminus is literally trailblazer but instead of exploring space, it's exploring time. And what's weird is the Omen Vanguards, follower of Finality, can collect the "whispers" from their Aeon when the Aeon move against the current of time.

My theory is: almost like Akivili, Terminus leaves behind a "rail" when moving through time, and these people can move with this "rail" through time to collect Terminus's whisper.


Or they could just use Garden of Recollection to collect memory shards of the past where Terminus left their whisper in the past timeline. The problem is this only works for "whispers" in the past and not future.

Would it be possible to ask which starrail soundtracks you use during your video?

1. Wasn't the past of the creator of Omen Vanguards constantly edited by fictionologists in the databank? Am I not mixing it up with someone else?
2. It makes a lot of sense for Elio to follow Finality, because how else is he going to bring the death of Destruction if not using the power that are above it?
3. The page in the data bank about Stellaron Hunters has a link to the page about emanators so that serves as a confirmation that Elio is an emanator of Finality.
