I've just "rediscovered" this - 40 years later. It makes the hair stand on the back of my neck - the astonishing operatic interludes are raise the whole performance to a sublime level. And as for the frantic finish - it made me jump up out of my couch. It is truly one of the all-time great songs/performances of the rock era. Thank you ELO for bringing such joy into our lives

OMG, how talented is Jeff? There are very few musical geniuses around but Jeff Lynne is definitely in that category. His obvious amazing stuff with ELO, then the Wilburys and the later Beatles recordings shows the superb musical talent he has. A truly amazing musician.

I love the beautiful and talented Melene Lewis. Her husband is in the band I believe. The band members refer to him as "Lucky Bastard". I would agree with that.
