PM 'delighted' with Biden phone call & says Trump is the 'previous President'

Boris Johnson spoke about his conversation with President-elect Joe Biden at the end of Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday.

Despite acknowledging his "good relationship" with the "previous President" Trump, Johnson said he was "delighted" to find areas of common cause with former Vice President Biden, including climate change.

Taking to the despatch box, opposition Labour Party leader Keir Starmer welcomed Biden's victory, saying it marked "a new era of decency, integrity and compassion in the White House."

The Financial Times reported on Tuesday that Biden had delivered a warning to Johnson not to let Brexit destabilise the Northern Ireland peace process.
