I have been collecting U.S. stamps for most of my life, I'm 62 years old. These are very common U.S stamps in used, average condition. In other words, these are mediocre at best and for a guy who calls himself 'TheStampgod' is, well, full of shit and would be made embarrassed if he showed up at a stamp show.

The great thing about US stamps is there are so many of them . That made US stamp collecting an affordable hobby with easy to obtain about 95% of the Stamps . Starting in 1945 There was a patriotic spike due to the US and allied forces winning war word two. US stamp collecting became very popular. The US postal service catered to this influx of new collectors by offering US stamps in sheets of 100, 72, and 50.. This trend continued until the late 1970s when postage prices increased coupled with the decrease of collectors due to loss of interest and death.
Now i there are billions of US stamps in mint state held in personal collections. From 1945 to 1975. These stamps are so common they can be purchased for 70% face value. If they are used they are worth a penny or two. Yes I meant one to two cents each . Nothing worth going out of your way to sell.
Now there are a few exceptions. High denomination stamps will always have a premium price. 2x-5x the face value. There are also some stamps that were produced in the 1960s using a different paper and experimental ink. These stamps are very expensive. But they are exceedingly rare. Look into the Scott’s catalog on how to identify them.
Now there are also other US stamps before 1940s that are valuable . There are two Stamps worth hundreds of thousand dollars . Like the one cent Franklin Scott’s 594. And 596 . But these stamps are so rare you would have a better chance being struck by lightning while be attacked by a shark every one thinks they have one but they actually have the Scott’s 552.
. For the most part all regular issued US stamps can be purchased for Few dollars to a few hundred. If you avoid the errors and super varieties.
Now as for this collection in this video. It seems as this collector was just collecting inexpensive varieties . Nothing worth that much. The son should save it and hold on to the priceless memories of his fathers.

Rule of thumb for U.S. stamps, anything after 1935, collectors expect mint, never hinged specimens. From 1879 to 1935, they will expect a hinge on a mint stamp. Prior to 1879, collectors expect stamps to be used. Most of the stamps from the first page in your collection are worth roughly ten cents each on average. I think I saw some that may be worth a quarter.

Nice stamp collection that someone took pride in assembling. The whole lot is rather common. But I'm afraid this stockbook has a very low market value.

When he opened his stock book to the very first page, I saw a great US rarity. It was the third stamp on the fifth row. It is misprinted error of a Spanish guy to represent a US president.

Bravo you have beautiful stamps. Those who envy you have written that this stamp is not worth much more than this one. What price would these stamps attract if they were in their own hands ? It’s a beautiful collection. Valuable stamps my friend. The stamps in the old stamps they are all valuable. Don’t believe anyone, you are on the rigth track. Throw mud, let there be traces, labor and makinğ a beautiful collection by keeping them is respected. Those who know this jop very well do all kinds of acrobatics to get their hands on the stamps. They only want to have it for themselves, not someone else. Bravo 👏 you are the owner of a beautiful collection. The stamps are also valuable. Those who know a lot are very wrong. Thank you for sharinğ these stamps and sharing them with people.Stamps that have passed over the years are valuable, these are valuable papers, fhere is a proverb money 💰became stamp 👍 now became money 💰this is the password, don’t listen to anyone, goodbye 👋
